Prof. Dr. Dennis Steininger

Prof. Dr. Dennis Steininger is professor and chair for entrepreneurship. In 2021, he declined offers from the Technical University of Darmstadt as well as the Clausthal University of Technology. Previously, he was the interim head of the department for "Business Administration and Management of Digital Transformation" at Clausthal University of Technology, assistant professor at the University of Augsburg, and co-founder and managing director of the Augsburg Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE).

Dennis Steininger studied business administration at the University of Mannheim (and London School of Economics), where he received his PhD in 2016. At the University of Mannheim and Mannheim Business School, he also regularly taught and is teaching as a guest lecturer in the fields of entrepreneurship and digital transformation. Before and during his academic career, he founded, supported, and advised numerous start-ups.

The focus of his research is mainly on crossroads of entrepreneurship and digital innovation.
His academic work has been published in leading international journals.

Dennis Steininger is a reviewer for numerous journals and conferences, such as Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Small Business Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Business Research, Business & Information Systems Engineering. In this context, he has been awarded Best Reviewer Awards several times. In July 2021 he was awarded the Viermetz Science Award.
